BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE Pilates Class (50 min), based on the exercises performed in a traditional mat floor-work class, will use a variety of methods to deepen your understanding of the "Pilates Principles” to make the class fun and challenging. The primary objective of this class is to balance your physical strength and flexibility, and increase core muscular endurance with optimal skeletal alignment. Class is limited to 6 participants. PRENATAL Pilates Class (45 min), the prenatal workout maintains a degree of core stability throughout pregnancy, focusing on strengthening the pelvic floor, transverse abdominals, and the upper back muscles in preparation for months of nursing and carrying baby. This class will help to prevent tightening and immobility of the lumbar spine, and provide general conditioning. CALL AHEAD TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT!
POSTNATAL//MOMMY and ME Pilates Class (45min), this class is designed so that all the movements target your postpartum needs. Pilates can restore your flexibility, alignment, and balance, all of which are likely to have taken a beating during your pregnancy. You will gain strength in your “core” to help you resist and counter injury and strain from lifting and carrying your baby. As you tone, tighten and realign your body your baby can be with you during this workout. CALL AHEAD TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT!
PRIVATE TRAINING,(50min), one-on-one lesson utilizing the PILATES apparatus as well as incorporating mat work into the session. Private classes are also recommended for students with special physical needs or limitations. Personalized workouts are tailored to address your individual needs. You can use this as an initial evaluation, an occasional check- in to assure you are using correct form, or to further your fitness goals. Call to schedule an appointment.
It is highly recommended that all new students take at least one private lesson whether you are brand new to PILATES or have previous experience because it will help you to gain an understanding of the 5 principles incorporated into each exercise to make the method more safe and effective, as well as the focuses individually needed to obtain your individual fitness goals.
