"I graduated from The Finger Lakes School of Massage in 1997. Immediately following graduation I was employed at New Day Massage in Elmira and worked there until June 2007. I had many great experiences there such as teaching couples massage classes and showing parents how to do infant massage. I have a lot of experience in many forms of therapeutic massage, such as medical massage, stress reduction and pain relief.
I strongly believe in the physical and mental benefits of massage and am always pursuing new techniques and doing additional educational programs. My clientele includes both men and women, and I have a special interest in pregnancy massage to help ease a mother's changing body.
After having my first son, I became very interested in becoming a Doula (labor coach). I have recently received my certification and have attended several births. I love working with mothers and fathers, helping them to welcome their new baby into the world.
It's always been my dreams to open my own business, New Beginnings Wellness Center is the realization of that dream. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have."
"Originally from Corning, I graduated from Buffalo State College with a B.S. in Health. I was introduced to Pilates while working as a personal trainer in Buffalo, NY. Pilates became a passion that led me to change direction in my career. I received my Pilates certification from Stott Pilates in both Mat and Reformer. I have been instructing individuals and groups since January 2003.
I have taught students of various ages (14 to 82) and skill levels (post-rehab to elite athlete). I also have experienced teaching students with different injuries. Some of my special training courses include Ultimate Backcare, Pilates for Golf, PreNatal Pilates, PostNatal Pilates and I am currently completing the Post-Rehabilitation Specialist certification through AAHFRP. I increase my knowledge of movement by completing several hours of continuing education every year.
I will be offering Beginning/Intermediate Group classes, Pre and PostNatal classes, Pee-Wee Pilates (mom and baby 0-6 months) and Private training."
